Events (Halter & Performance) - Trials - Classes/Divisions - Entry Limit - Seasons - RankingsHalter is judging the horse on its conformation and overall health, and how well it fits the breed standard.
The performance events include dressage and jumping. The horse will be judged on how well it performs a specified task.
We divide up the events into different trials, depending on who is allowed to compete:
The available classes we offer are Novice and Open, which can be further divided up by gender (the divisions).
Novice - must not have 2 or more 1st placements or more than 5 wins.
Open - any equine that fits the class or division, depending.
Do note that when a class is divided up by gender, your horse must be entered in its proper division (i.e. with others of its gender).
Another note: Halter events have separate Novice and Open classes for each breed. Performance events will be overall Novice and overall Open classes [not separated by breed], which then can be divided up by gender.
The entry limit for halter and performance events is 5 horses per division per owner. If the show is not divided up by division, then the entry limit is 5 horses per class per owner.
We set this limit for classes/divisions that only have one person competing, the maximum placements they can receive alone is two placements.
Based on the four Northern Hemisphere seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn. Winter starts around December 21st, Spring is around March 21st, Summer around June 21st, and Autumn around September 21st.
Each season begins a new ranking period, though high ranked horses still will be noted for their past show records, and all horses start off fresh. Points are carried over unless otherwise noted.
Our rankings are based off of how many equines are defeated in competition. These are cleared every season to be more realistic as one or two seasons represents a full show year in real life time.
An equine will still be considered the rank it was at one point, but will be for that particular season. For example, if your horse is the #2 Arabian for one season, that equine will be still recognized for being the #2 Arabian for that season.
